Websites in Campbell

In a town this walkable, the site confirms rather than convinces.

Campbell still works like a main street. People walk East Campbell Avenue, they end up at the Pruneyard, they recommend places to each other in person. Which means the site is rarely where someone discovers you. It is where they check you before they commit, and that is a different job.

What a word-of-mouth town changes

What actually decides it here

01

The site is a confirmation step, and it can fail. Someone heard you were good, looked you up, and found a page that had not been touched in years. That does not just fail to help, it actively undoes the recommendation.

02

Hours are the most-checked fact you publish. In a walkable downtown, the question is usually whether you are open now. Wrong hours are worse than no hours.

03

Your reviews are your street presence, online. A small town rating is read carefully because the pool is small. A handful of recent, real reviews moves more here than a hundred old ones.

04

Nobody needs a brochure, they need the specifics. What you do, what it costs, when you are open, how to book. Anything beyond that is decoration on a page someone is on for forty seconds.

What you get

The site, then the tools underneath it

Module 01

The site

A site that holds up when someone checks you after hearing your name.

  • Hours that are correct, including holidays, and easy to find
  • What you do and what it costs, without a phone call
  • Recent work or recent reviews visible, not buried
  • Fast on a phone, being read on the sidewalk outside
  • Booking or contact that takes one tap

Module 02

The automation

The same automation on every build, because it works the same way everywhere.

  • A chatbot that answers after-hours questions and books a call
  • Missed-call text-back, so a call you could not take still gets a reply
  • Review requests sent after the job, to everyone, never filtered
  • Appointment reminders where your business runs on appointments
  • Hosting and content updates included in the retainer

Who I build for in Campbell

The work is the same shape whatever the trade, and the copy is not. These pages go into what changes for each: medical practices, dental practices, law firms, chiropractors, med spas, veterinary clinics, salons and barbershops, professional offices, and local service businesses.

Craftvane is based in San Jose and works across Santa Clara County. Rather than a client list, there are two sites you can open right now: see the work.

Questions from Campbell owners

We get almost everything by word of mouth.

Then the site has one job and it is worth doing well: not losing the person who was already sold. That is a smaller project than a business trying to generate demand from scratch, and it should be priced that way.

Do we need to be on social media too?

If it is working for you, keep doing it. I build the thing that shows up when someone searches your name, which is a different job from the thing that shows up in a feed.

Can you keep the hours updated for us?

That is part of the retainer, and it is the single most valuable line in it for a business like this.

The guarantee

You don't pay the balance until you approve the site.

Hiring one person to build your website carries an obvious risk: you pay, and what shows up is not what you had in mind. So the money is structured so that cannot happen. A deposit starts the work. The balance is due only after you have seen the finished site and told me it's right. If you look at it and it is not what we agreed, I fix it, and you still have not paid the balance.

No annual contract on the build. The retainer, if you take it, is month to month, and cancelling it does not cost you the website. The site is yours once it is paid for, either way.
