Free site audit
I'll tell you what's wrong with your website. Some of it in seconds, the rest in two business days.
Type your address below and about 19 checks run against your real site in a few seconds, right here on the page. No email needed, nothing held back. If you want more, I add your Google Lighthouse score, a side-by-side against up to three competitors, a broken-link crawl, and a hand check of your Google Business Profile, and email all of it within two business days.
This reads three public pages of your site, the same requests any browser makes, and takes a few seconds. Nothing is crawled or probed, and no email is needed for this part.
Why free
Because it's the most honest pitch available
If the audit finds nothing much, you have lost nothing and I have learned we are not a fit. I would rather find that out in an hour than in a month.
If it finds real problems, they are your problems whether or not you hire me. Fix them yourself, hand the list to your current web person, or ask me for a quote. All three are fine.
It is not a disguised sales call. Half the findings appear right on this page the moment you check. The rest arrive by email. Either way, you do not have to sit through a presentation to receive them.
What you get
A list of specific, checkable findings
The instant half
What appears on the page
- About 19 checks run against your real site, not a cached copy, the moment you type your address in
- Every finding marked as failing, worth fixing, or passing, so you can tell what is urgent from what is polish
- The actual measurement behind each one, not a grade out of ten
- Nothing gated. No email required to see any of it
The emailed half
What I add and send you
- Google's own Lighthouse performance score
- A side-by-side scorecard against up to three competitors you name
- A crawl for broken internal links
- The Google Business Profile items no automated tool can read, checked by hand
- Plain-English notes on what matters most, written by me, so you can reply and ask what something means
What gets checked
What's instant, and what's not
Instant, on this page
01 · Security
HTTPS
Whether the site loads over a secure, encrypted connection, the padlock browsers check for before a visitor reads anything.
02 · Mobile
The viewport setting
Whether phones render your real layout or a shrunken desktop page zoomed out until someone pinches to read it.
03 · Search basics
Titles, descriptions, headings
What Google shows as your clickable headline and snippet, whether they are the right length, and whether the page has a single clear H1.
04 · Contact info
How hard you are to reach
Tap-to-call links, whether a contact form exists, and whether your address, hours, and a link to your Google reviews appear as real text on the page.
05 · Structured data
What machines can read
Whether your business type, address, and phone are published in the machine-readable format Google prefers, and whether the markup is valid.
06 · Images
Alt text and dimensions
What screen readers and Google can make of your images, and whether missing dimensions make the page jump while it loads.
07 · Sharing
What a shared link looks like
Whether your link shows a proper preview card in iMessage, Facebook, and LinkedIn, or appears as a bare URL that looks broken.
08 · Crawlability
robots.txt and sitemap
Whether search engines are allowed in at all. A leftover staging rule that blocks the whole site is rarer than you would think, and not rare enough.
09 · Page weight
Size and compression
How much a visitor's phone has to download before anything appears, and whether text compression is switched on.
10 · Accessibility
The basics
Page language and alt text coverage. Not a full audit, and I will say so rather than imply otherwise.
Emailed, checked by hand
01 · Speed
Lighthouse and response time
Google's own Lighthouse performance score, plus how fast the server itself responds. It takes longer to run than a few seconds, so it comes by email.
02 · Competitors
Side by side
Name up to three competitors and the same checks run against them, scored in one table. Useful for seeing whether you are behind or whether the whole category is.
03 · Broken links
Dead ends
Internal links that lead to missing pages. Every one is a visitor who hit a wall on a page you control.
04 · Google Business Profile
What no tool can read
The items behind Google's own dashboard that shape how you show up in local search. No automated tool can open it, so I check it by hand.
05 · Measurement
Analytics
Whether anything is tracking visitors at all. Without it, every decision about the site is a guess.
06 · AI search
Being readable by assistants
Whether the structured data and llms.txt that some assistants read are present. Modest upside, honestly described, not oversold.
What this is not: it is not a full accessibility audit, not a penetration test, and not a keyword-ranking report. It checks the technical and local-search fundamentals of your site. If you need one of those other things, I will tell you that instead of selling you this.
Request the rest
Already tried the instant checker above? This form is for the other half: Lighthouse, competitors, broken links, and Google Business Profile.
Name competitors if you want the comparison. Up to three. If you leave it blank you still get the full hand review of your own site.
The rest arrives by email within two business days, usually the same day.
Then nothing happens unless you reply. One short follow-up asking whether you have questions, and that is the end of it.
Want to see one first? Here is a complete audit report, unedited, run on my own previous site. It found two failures on it.
Questions about the audit
Is it really free, and what's the catch?
Really free, and the catch is that I hope you like the findings enough to ask what a rebuild costs. That is the whole mechanism. You get every finding either way, some instantly on the page and the rest by email, and you are free to hand the list to whoever currently maintains your site.
Do I have to get on a call to receive it?
No. That is deliberate. Plenty of "free audits" are a form that books a sales call where someone reads a report at you. Here, most of the findings show up right on the page the moment you check your site. The rest, your Lighthouse score, competitors, and the Google Business Profile check, arrives as an email you can read at your own pace and ignore if you want.
Will you put me on a mailing list?
No. One email with the findings, one short follow-up asking whether you have questions. No newsletter, no drip sequence, no sequence of increasingly urgent reminders.
How is this different from running my site through a free online scanner?
The instant half honestly is the same kind of automated check a free scanner runs, and I am not going to pretend otherwise. What a scanner does not do: check your actual Google Business Profile by hand, since no tool can read that, run your Lighthouse score, compare you against named competitors, or hand you any of it without an email gate first. Nothing here is gated. That is the actual difference.
What if my site turns out to be fine?
Then I will tell you it is fine. That happens, and it is a perfectly good outcome. You will have a documented baseline and I will not have wasted your afternoon pretending otherwise.
I don't have a website yet. Is this useful?
Not really, since there is nothing to audit. What is useful in that case is a look at your Google Business Profile and at what your competitors are doing, which I am happy to do. Send the form with your business name in place of a URL.
